Nova Diamond Foundation’s focus and concern about the welfare of its staff members led to the adoption of a cooperative society for both staff and non-staff. The primary objective of this cooperative society is to encourage the members of staff to cultivate a savings culture to aid proper planning for the future.
Nova Diamond Multipurpose Cooperative Society is recognized by Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area, Alimosho Local Government of Lagos State, and was founded in 2021 with the sole objective of providing quality and efficient services to her members, anchored on improving their economic and social well-being.
The cooperative draws its membership from the staff of the Nova Diamond Foundation (NDF), its various associate organizations, ad-hoc/contract staff primarily engaged in the implementation of the organization’s various humanitarian projects, and other non-staff members of the organizations.
It commenced operation by mobilizing savings and granting loans to its members.
The Society is also detailed to provide the following services:
- Purchase of foodstuffs and consumables
- Purchase of Electronics, Household Furniture & equipment
- Provision of Houses through house ownership schemes and mortgage loans
- Regular, Short-term, and Special Loans
- Estate Development
- Offshore investment
The Bylaws of the Society provide the rules and regulations governing all its activities concerning both membership and elected officials.
These officials comprise both Management and Supervisory Committee members who oversee the Operations of the Society following the Society’s Bylaws.
While priority of membership is given to members of Nova Diamond Foundation staff, non-staff can also voluntarily request to be members of the cooperative society.
